BRL-CAD is accepted into the inaugural Google Season of Docs (GSoD)! Under this program, we're looking to work with a technical writer on a documentation project. See https://brlcad.org/wiki/Google_Season_of_Docs and https://developers.google.com/season-of-docs/ for more details. If you know any writers, help spread the word about GSoD and BRL-CAD!

@Sean can students participate to ? or they have to be specialists in writing documentations? I have some friends who are students and interested in participation.

BRL-CAD was accepted for a second time into the 2020 Google Season of Docs (GSoD). We again look forward to working with one individual (only one) on a documentation project. GSoD is a program for technical writers and aspiring technical writers to learn about open source and gain technical experience while sharing their writing experience with open source developers. See https://brlcad.org/wiki/Google_Season_of_Docs for more information and project ideas.

Applicants interested in GSoD are encouraged to introduce themselves in our #Google Season of Docs stream (not here in the #announce stream). Thanks!

Hi, I am a past GSoD participant and interested in knowing the role of a volunteer, is he supposed to review, make adjustments and give feedback on selected tech writer's work?
If it is so, I am the perfect person for this job as I successfully completed my GSoD 20 project and know how a technical writer should progress, and what difficulties one might face.
