Nothing, it's random. Click on the BRL-CAD link on this site, there the names are listed alphabetical.
It is not wanted by Google that students can see each others finished tasks count to avoid cheating and race conditions.
That lead to bad work submitted in the past.

We have to name 5 finalists including 2 grand prize winner from these top 10 list. But not only the number of tasks counts, even or more the quality and scope of the work.
