@Sean Can you please help me on how to breakdown tasks for python geometry?
My approach to doing this would be to divide the listed primitives and wrap them one by one.
I will keep testing and debugging throughout.
Kindly let me know what should I go through while writing the proposal…..
I know it’s a little late but had a busy week ☹
How about planning which primitives you will wrap in which week?
Yes exactly..... I am asking that should I divide primitives (3 primitives a week most prob) in any order or you have any specific sequence in mind?
And is there anything else important to which I should be dedicating my time to?
I would expect that you need to create a kind of frame work first, where you can embed the primitives. Then, you would probably want to start with some simple ones. Implementing further primitives should be faster. However, there are more complex primitives where you probably need to create substructures. These need more time to implement.

Definitely late to get into an in-depth discussion, but not too late to talk and refine.
@Owais2099 Have you made any more progress on workout out a more detailed plan or progress making code changes to demonstrate a patch?
No.... I haven't been able to work on a patch after submitting the proposal.
Its been a month since our country went under lock down due to Covid'19 and our university started taking online classes.
Our university timeline is disturbed and they are now trying to evaluate the rest of the semester with assignments mostly.
So apart from the regular time of online classes, assignments are bombarded by teachers.
I don't know how but the University plans on resuming its semester onsite from June and have a crash course of whats been taught online before taking the final exam.
Now I'm wondering if I will be able to give time to gsoc in summers or not :(
Timeline is so unpredictable and university will try to just fit in everything in June (if it gets opened).
Now I'm confused about what to do..... :(
I have a lot to learn but am short of time.
One sad alternative is that I should withdraw for now and spend the remaining time of my summer (after semester ends) and onwards, contributing to the community and apply again in gsoc 2021.
@Sean let me know what you have in mind.
@Sean ??? Is everything alright?
@Owais2099 the planet is quarantined and attention is spread thin, but yeah, everything is fine :)
thank you for your reply. I know these are uncertain times. Assuming you won't be going back onsite any time soon, and you either don't have classwork or will be doing assignments from home, would either of those situations be a problem for you doing GSoC?
GSoC is stressful enough as it is intended to be as demanding as a full-time job, so it's understandable if you need to take a step back to refocus next year. It doesn't count against you in any way. Take care of your personal life first. Open source isn't going anywhere.
No man..... Sorry for the late reply :( . Didn't expected a message when it was this quiet.
The problem is that teachers are taking online classes like they were meant to do onsite (same timings/duration), and giving assignments on top of that. Its just uncertain how long will this continue.
Yeah you're right..... I understand that GSoC can be stressful and demands time and I just can't participate in it on chance that I may or may not get time to complete it..... There are other participants who have better chances of completing due to less workload.
Not everything goes as planned. Let's hope everything gets well soon. I'll keep in touch and will indeed come back to it as soon as possible.
Thanks man.
